The Wolf Among Us Remastered Release Date, Price & Switch Delay
The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches October 29 on PS5, Xbox and PC for $24.99. Switch is delayed. Here's what's new, plus the trailer.
Bigby Wolf is back on the beat this week. The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches Thursday, October 29, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). Switch players have to wait: Telltale pushed the Nintendo version to an unannounced date. Here's everything you need before you clock in.
Release date, price and platforms
- Release date: Thursday, October 29, 2026. Telltale hasn't posted an exact unlock time, so check your store page on the day.
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
- Nintendo Switch / Switch 2: delayed. It was originally due October 29 too.
- Price: $24.99, with a 20% launch discount and extra savings for digital owners of the original, according to MonsterVine's report on Telltale's announcement.
- Developer and publisher: Telltale, with PM Studios.
- Physical editions: planned for early 2027, per MonsterVine.
Why the Switch version was delayed
Telltale announced on October 16 that the Switch release is slipping. It's the game's first time on a Nintendo platform, and the studio says it wants more time to deliver the experience Nintendo players deserve. Telltale's line: the Switch version "will follow at a later date." No new date yet, according to Gematsu.
What's new in the remaster
This is the full 2013-2014 adventure, all five episodes in one package, rebuilt rather than just upscaled:
- Upgraded visuals: updated environments, character models, animation, audio and UI, with higher resolutions and smoother performance.
- Noir Mode: play the whole thing in black and white.
- Five playable deleted scenes cut from the original.
- 60+ minutes of behind-the-scenes interviews with the developers and cast.
- Art gallery with concept and production art from 2013 and the remaster.
- Redesigned werewolf form for Bigby, shown off in the new story trailer from the ID@Xbox showcase.

Still on the fence? Telltale put the full first episode, "Faith," up as a free demo on Steam for Next Fest, which wraps today, October 26. And yes, The Wolf Among Us 2 is still coming, now set for 2027, so this is the cleanest way to catch up before Bigby's next case.
The 2nd Shift take
At $24.99 with a launch discount, this is an easy call if you never played it, and a solid excuse to replay it in Noir Mode if you did. The original's choices still hit hard, and five deleted scenes is real new content, not a gallery filler bullet. The Switch delay stings, but we'd rather Telltale take the time than ship another rough port, especially in a month where remasters are getting roasted. The real test is performance on day one. We'll be playing it Thursday night.
